Web26 jan. 2024 · This is the folder where Vortex stages your mods i.e. unpacks them to. Due to how the Bethesda games work (including Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition), the Mod Staging Folder must be on the same partition as the game. The default location for the Mod Staging Folder is “C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\skyrimse\mods”. WebVortex is the newest manager on the scene and is now in beta. Nexus hired Tannin, the author of MO, in order to create a massively improved Nexus Mod Manager, which they chose to call Vortex. (Personally I'm still pushing for the community to call it NeMO for Nexus Mod Organizer or New Mod Organizer). Vortex uses hardlinks to install files.
